Misplaced AP scores?

Got my AP scores today. Am relatively happy with them. However, they were sent to Univ. Illinois Chicago instead of UChicago, which . . . presents some problems, you can imagine.

So, the question is, is there a deadline by which I need to get my AP scores in? Obviously before Orientation, but I'm wondering if I need to . . . request a two-day rush service instead of the usual ("processing time is one week from receipt of your order").

Thanks.

ETA: I did try to search for this online, but all I kept coming up with was the UChicago Course Credit webpage.

You do not need to rush your scores to UChicago.

^^One of the joys of the quarter system – school doesn’t start in five weeks! You won’t register until O-Week. No worries.

You’ll have to spend the $10 to send the scores to UChicago, but don’t rush them.

Thanks for the responses. :)

Now, to fill this form out and ship it off . . .

Is there a deadline by which you have to get your AP scores to Chicago?

Yes. If you are relying on any of them for a graduation requirement (e.g., language competency, elective credit), you should probably get them there by the start of the last quarter before you graduate. Otherwise, I doubt you really have to get them there at all. If it’s just a matter of placement into the right math or language course, they will probably take your word for it, or give you the (short) placement test anyway.

The scores and associated credit don’t even show up on your Chicago transcript until second year, according to the website and S’s advisor.

Chicago will have you take foreign language and math placement exams, so APs don’t matter much there. AP science scores can get you out of courses/into AP 5 Bio. English and Social Science AP scores don’t apply to Core requirements and are for elective credit only. APs demonstrate your ability to handle challenging work. If you want to get soph/junior status upon entering college, there are plenty of other schools that will grant VERY generous credit.
