Missed ED Financial Aid Deadline... in need of desperate help

It's all my fault, my parents have no clue about financial aid whatsoever since they didn't go to college in the US, so it was up to me to gather all the information for this process. So yea, I missed the fin aid deadline for CMC (Dec. 1) Today, I'm going to send in the required documents, I called the office and they said to send submit the CSS profile online and submit the 2010 tax forms by mail.

The letter said that "because you have missed the aid application deadline, your institutional grant eligibility will depend on the availability of college funds."

Am I in deep, deep trouble? Will CMC run out of funds to help me afford college? I think I'm gonna cry :( CMC is very expensive, like $53,000

If anyone can shed light on my situation, please help me :(

I’m preparing for the worst case scenario here, let’s say I don’t get a good package for my freshman year (I’m gonna have to take out loans) can I get better aid packages in the future (You re-apply every year right?)

Don’t know about the availability of fin aid for year one but yes you do have to apply every year with both the FAFSA and CSS profile and tax forms. The good news is that your aid, if you qualify tends to go up each year because your family is spending down resources for your education. This assumes the family income stream remains fairly constant.

^ okay thank you. I sent in everything yesterday so now I’m just waiting. I’m just hoping I get something :)
