Missed Financial Aid deadline

The case is that I applied to University of North Carolina(Chapel Hill) sometime at the beginning of March, and filed my FAFSA around mid-march. However, I found out that they are missing my parent's tax returns and related forms.

I am wondering:
An email sent to me said they will not be able to review my financial aid application without the other forms. Does that mean the fact that I submitted FAFSA on time(kinda) will be irrelevant?

What are my chances of recieving any aid at all(assuming that I am eligible for certain aid) based on me being a tad(probably a month) late?

Do I still need to submit the CSS profile? Will the CSS profile provide anything or have they ran out by now?

I got an acceptance letter but I'm worried that I will not recieve enough financial aid due to the deadlines. How strict are the deadlines?

You need to pick up the phone and call the financial aid office and ask them. They are the only people who can answer your questions with accuracy.

You need to submit ALL of the required documents and forms to UNC before they will consider your application for aid. This includes the FAFSA, Profile, Tax forms and ANYTHING else they require. Until the file is complete, they will NOT review your request for aid.

Are you a transfer student or a first year freshman? If you are a freshman, your aid package will likely not be completed by May 1 which is when you have to let UNC know whether you will be matriculating …or not.

I believe UNC-Chapel Hill REQUIRES the Profile for the determination of their institutional aid. You won’t get their institutional aid without it.

The FAFSA would only determine your eligibility for federally funded need based aid…which is primarily for lower income families. Plus even IF you qualify for this aid, the max Pell grant and the stafford loan are only about $11,500. That won’t cover your costs at UNC-CH even as an instate student.

You need to call them ASAP and find out whether you’ve totally missed the boat on aid from their school. You have MORE than missed the deadlines for this school.
