I just recently received my MyPenn App portal login information and it seems that I'm missing a few items. Of the applicable items, the ones that I am missing are my Transcript, Dual-Degee Essay, and my Mid-year Report.

I know for a fact that my school sends the SSR (which they have received) with the transcript. And I sent my Dual-Degree essay with all the other essays, application, and supplement forms. My school still needs to send the mid-year reports since those grades are still being processed, but since it seems I'm missing the transcript, should I tell them to send it with the mid-year report that they'll be sending soon? Or is there a chance that UPenn is still updating the materials and that I should wait a little while longer before telling my school to resend the transcript? Also, how would I go about resending my dual-degree essay?

And are they supposed to contact me (e.g. email) if they are indeed missing required items? Or is MyPenn their supposed means of contact?

I called Admissions yesterday on behalf of my S who had a similar problem. They told me not to worry b/c not everything had been logged in yet. They said they would contact him if anything was really missing. Hope this helps.

Thanks mowmoj for the helpful and reassuring info. I guess I'll just wait a while longer before panicking.

I also have a few, rather technical, questions about the Penn Financial Aid Supplement:

(1) For questions that do not apply and are not supposed to be answered in the form of a numeric amount, do I still put "0"? (It says, "When a question does not apply, insert a zero for amount.") Or should I just leave those questions blank?

(2) What do I put in "Year in School/ College 2008-09"? Since I'm a senior in high school, do I put "12" (as in grade) or "4" (as in year in high school)? Same question applies for my sister who's in middle school -- would I put "7" or "2"?

(3) For "Name of School/ College to be Attended 2009-10," what do I put down for myself? Do I put "University of Pennsylvania," "Undecided," or something else?

(4) Although most financial aid questions do not apply to a family's primary home, under Parental Debt, "First Mortgage" would include the amount owned for the primary home right?

1) We just left blank the non-numeric answers that didn't apply.
2) We used "12" and "10" for senior and sophomore children.
3) We put a "?"
4) We thought the "first mortgage" question did pertain to the family home: we put the amount that is outstanding on the mortgage in the answer box.
No guarantees, but this is what we did. Good luck.
