Also, you can get state residency fairly easily in Missouri. My niece did it by just working through a summer locally.
@dadof4kids NWMSU is where a lot of kids in our area go because it’s about 2 hours away. I don’t know any data or specific info on departments, but everyone I’ve talked to loves it there. I haven’t gotten my daughter convinced on it but I think part of that is she wants to go somewhere away from former HS classmates.
@equestrianmom we looked at William Woods a little bit because it appears they have an automatic full tuition scholarship at a 30 ACT. What I have done is go to the Niche site and read reviews from students. I thought it all sounded pretty positive but maybe doesn’t speak to the quality of the academics as much as the college life in general there.
I showed my daughter Southeast Missouri State (SEMO) because they have an automatic full tuition scholarship at a 27 ACT. She really liked the sound of the courses offered in her potential majors, but it’s a long trek of 9 hours to get there and that’s kind of obnoxious even for free tuition. Does anybody have any opinions on SEMO?
