Mistake in application - am I doomed?

I submitted my Uchicago app (RD) about a week ago and I was reading it over today and I realized that I forgot a comma in one of the sentences in my essay. Am I doomed? Will Uchicago reject me!??!?!?!

Solid nope from personal experience

Uh-oh: you’ve made a big mistake . . . . reading your application over after submission. Print out a copy, file it, and walk away.

You can’t go to college anymore. Looks like you’ll be working as a frycook at Mcdonalds or stock shelver at Wal-mart for the rest of your life.

Are you sure you only missed a comma? Because UChicago will send out their robotic sniper to shoot anyone who missed a period, period. O:-)

I made a spelling error (two actually) and I was accepted! So don’t worry about it

this is a joke thread right? If they rejected every app with a grammatical error, Uchicago wouldn’t be what it is.

I accidentally wrote “President Ellison” instead of “Dean Ellison” in one of my essays. When I realized it a week or so after November 1, I flipped out, and my college counselor at school told me not to worry. I just got in ED. I assure you, you’re fine. They know students make trivial mistakes. They won’t reject you based on such a minor detail.
