Mistake in Texas essays. I did not write the college name properly help!

Hi

I submitted my UT Austin application like 2 months ago and I just realized that I made a mistake. In the essays that I was asked about how I would demonstrate my leadership in UT-Austin, instead of writing “At UT-Austin I will show my leadership by… blah blah blah” I only put “At UT I will show blah blah blah”. I forgot to put Austin. I was wondering if that was a super big mistake that will make the office reject me. I have read that the biggest mistake in essay colleges is writing another college name, but I think this is not the case. What do you think? Please help

Please!!! It may be a dumb question but I am new in US applications and colleges

It’s fine. It’s not a “super big mistake”. They won’t even notice.

It’s okay. They’ll understand

When people say “UT,” they mean UT-Austin. So you actually wrote it correctly.

Unless you are an Aggie, then it is t.u.

What happened when the Aggie moved from Texas to Oklahoma? The average IQ of both states went up.

You’re fine.

@MaineLonghorn, that is way too funny.

What might make admissions think twice was if you put “UTA”

A mistake that seems to not sit well with Longhorns (understandably so  )
