Mistake made on Common App....

Hey. i recently sent my application to Princeton and i just realized that i made a mistake on the common app. the part where it says to note "secondary schools" that i've attended for summer schools and programs, etc... i didnt see the "secondary" so i listed UNIVERSITIES where i attended summer programs! should i call princeton and let them know i made a mistake? will this affect me? im such an idiot i cant believe i did this! thanks for any response................

I really don't know..... but I don't remember the application EXPLICITLY statig "secondary schools" that you've attended summer schools. All I remember is the summer schools and programs part. But I guess someone else can help you. I do not really think is that much of a big deal... But who am I to say. Best bet is to confirm fro princeton...

wahahahahah this is priceless.

Kaiten, dont worry. Princeton is very good about things like that. By looking at your age and transcript, they will know you didnt attend any colleges yet(lol.)

i wouldnt even worry about contacting them, because you can then come off as stupid and panicky.

when they realize you've made such a massive mistake, they'll probably just dump your app right there. you should call the dean personally and let her know what happened, and apologize profusely. she'll probably be able to grant you some leeway in your specific case, but normally thats a kiss of death.

^

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, lol.

lol hes not.

oh my God! Is it that bad! HAha! not laughing at the situation. Just amused by the way "chram" put it. Anyways, lets not wish that to happen! lol. Yeah best bet. Call Princeton! Not tryin to alarm you.

Your application readers are human...they'll figure it out, lol =p

uhh lol i was kidding. i honestly couldnt have made that any more blatantly sarcastic. good efforts by all though.

dont call them. they'll think you're obsessive compulsive or overstressed (Which you might be, but dont tell them that)

LoL! I actually fell for the sarcasm......haha! but it was a good one!

thanks for ur replies. I actually just emailed them and they emailed back saying that it wasn't a problem. i won't go any further than that i wont worry anymore. thanks again for ur responses!

yea no problem..... Princeton is givin all applicants hypertension! I should write a report on this phenomenom......"The BRAIN overhaul of a typical Prospective Princetonian"......tooo long for a title but it will be good.

I realized after sending it in I had put my mother's degree as a BS in Biology rather than a BA and nearly had a myocardial infarction!

o man now that i think about it, i think i sounded a little too concerned and obsessed when i emailed them! do they like remember our names when making decisions!??! AH!

haha! I am not sure of that either..... I also got my own problem but if you could just go over to he Aliens thread....high up on this page and answer it I'll appreciate it..... IT'S MUCH MORE SERIOUS THAN YOURS! thanks a lot

" o man now that i think about it, i think i sounded a little too concerned and obsessed when i emailed them! do they like remember our names when making decisions!??! AH!"

lol.. okay.. first you were overly worried because of a small mistake. now you're overly worried because you emailed them about it. try to relax. they're human beings

im sry! i just really love princeton and i want to get in. ok calm down.......

lol. kaiten, they make a blacklist of all people who email them in panic for stupid things. it's equivalent to an automatic subtraction of 150 points in each section of the SATs.

good luck.
