Mistake on the Brown Supplement

I made a mistake on the Brown supplement. It asked if my school offered courses that are designated as Honors. I said yes. My school does not.
What should I do? Will this be a big problem/affect my admission? Do I leave it or contact admissions?

Definitely contact admissions office
The reason why is this:
if you state that there’s honors classes in your school, and you have not taken them, it makes you look like as if you didn’t try in school (which most likely, you have). Also, it will not look bad on you if you tell them this little mistake. Better call than regret later

Thanks very much! I will call tomorrow morning.

I think that they will flat out reject you. If you lie about taking honors courses it will come back to bite you in the butt. This is extremely serious and I think you should talk to your dad about it and working with him because you won’t be going to college.

My idea for you is for you to email the board of admissions and beg for mercy. It would be a great idea to also talk to your Dad.

Best of luck…NOT.

Wait, what? MosesGoldberg, why the nasty response? I did NOT lie about anything. On the Brown supplement, it asked if my school offered honors courses. I checked “yes”, when in fact my school does not. The mistake was that I said my school OFFERED them. I NEVER said that I TOOK any honors courses that I did not take. I did not and would not lie about that on a college application!

^don’t worry about MosesGoldberg, he/she didn’t bother to read your post and ■■■■■■■. Anyway, if I were you, I wouldn’t be worried (: just call or e-mail admissions. It’s definitely better that you tell them your school does NOT offer honours b/c this is TRUE! They wouldn’t like a student who did not take advantage of all the more challenging courses, but since you just made a mistake by checking “yes”, then you shouldn’t worry. Just call them tomorrow.
