<p>In his haste to post to common app to beat deadline my son uploaded a word doc with supplemental essay with the "track changes" not yet accepted. At least the mistakes are only punctunation (missed periods or commas) but the app was to an Ivy!! Just discovered now as I was printing off final copies from common app for our files.</p>
<p>Should he contact the school and ask to resubmit or just forget about it?</p>
<p>I’m sure they’ve seen it all and will probably just go ahead and “accept changes” for you. Clearly it’s just a case of bad file-management, rather than bad writing. I’d probably let them know, and hope that they have a sense of humor about it. But I’d be surprised if they allowed you to re-submit because of the deadline.</p>
<p>I don’t think there is anything you can do about it now. It’s not a biggie as long as the punctuation didn’t take a lot away from the essay. I wouldn’t worry about it much.</p>
