will mistakes affect admissions in any significant way? since its showing how not-careful we were..

b/c i just realized that i put 8 hrs/week for an activity instead of 40 hrs/week (i read it as hrs/day) so i'm just wondering how bad this was. =

that's the WORST mistake you could POSSIBLY make!!! =O

i hate to tell you, but you're not getting into college :(

okay im totally joking...
and im hoping you are too...
0_0 no offense, but how on earth is that going to affect college admissions "impression" of you? they don't even know it's SUPPOSEd to be 40/week, they'll just assume it actually IS 8 hr/week

uh it was a summer internship for a month. so it was like a job schedule...so 8hrs per week for a month is a pretty pathetic internship. which is why i was worried. and i just wanted to know how big of a deal it was. i'm not freaking out or anything but i AM concerned because this internship was a pretty important activity which i expanded on in my essays. and yes, i have no clue if admissions would hold anything against an applicant for careless mistakes like this one. which is why i was asking.

As posted, they definitely won't know it's a mistake, but I totally understand your concern. If I spent that much time on something I would definitely want them to know. Maybe mail them a correction? I'm not really sure if they would want/appreciate it but that's the only thing I can think to do.

slahi-write a nice email to the admissions person who covers your HS/city and explain, send the info, and ask if they would please put it in your file.
Polite, nice and you also then have a contact. You can get this, usually, on the schools admissions section or you can call the admissions office and ask the person who answers the phone for that persons e-mail address. And, yes, you should go ahead and take care of this. It is good information and you will sleep better. My S did this when he realized he did not add some important information--and he received very nice e-mails from the admin person.
