academics (list by senior year):

ISU math courses: Calc III, dif eq, linear algebra; ISU science courses: ???

I might have left out some stuff but this is pretty much it.

you need leadership positions, and your AP scores aren't great, but ur GPA is okay (what's it weighted?) and if you do well on ur SATs then maybe

Say I get 5's on all but AP lang/comp and AP european history (5 chem, 5 Calc BC, 5 Micro, 5 Macro, 4 AP L/C, 4 AP european history, 4 bio, and 4 physics.) and a 2100 on my SAT.
Then I make editor for the school web.

please also evaluate my chances at Stanford, Berkeley, CIT, Cornell, Carnegie, or any other good engineering school.

i'd gotta say, ur lack of leadership + grades/scores don't help. any awards?

I'm pretty sure I got some awards on academic distinction. I just can't think of them right now.
and also some gold metals that I got from Science olympiad state (four of them so far).

MIT looks like a reach at this point.

Not a chance. Kids with much better stats than you do get REJECTED.

MIT is crazy in applications. Thoses kids who get in are crazy.

I'd say its a reach. Maybe 20%-25% chance to get in. I think CC over does it at the chances. I've seen kids with lower stats get in.

^ i dunno i know a kid who got into yale harvard caltech stanford etc and got rejected from MIT early, not even deferred.
