<p>For those of you who don't know, the MIT essay I selected reads:
Life brings many disappointments as well as satisfactions. Tell us about a time in your life when you experienced disappointment, or faced difficult or trying circumstances. How did you react?</p>

<p>I was considering writing about the difficulties I encountered while doing my Eagle project. These weren't necessarily abnormal at the time. So, whould my project fit in this category?</p>

<p>That's a good question. I think they want to see that you could stay on top of your work if you went to MIT (due to the difficulty), thus they want to hear about an experience where you overcame an obstacle. I would write about it if it was a major thing in your life at the time.</p>
