MIT Introductory Biology

I've been looking into Open Courseware for Intro to Biology at MIT. Interestingly, their curriculum doesn't cover physiology except on neurobiology. Yet the students at MIT still get into medical schools, and probably (I don't have the figure) receive high MCAT score.

Then, how do they do this? I thought physiology was an important part for MCAT. Obviously, they could study with study guides but my question centers on the coursework. Just curious.

Can anyone from other Ivys comment on their Intro to Biology as well?

The physiology or any subject matter on the MCAT is very basic. It’s not a knowledge test. Any knowledge can be gleaned from a review book and I’m sure MIT students have no problem acquiring that knowledge. The MCAT is a test of critical thinking.
