Would going through the MIT Single Variable Calculus course here (http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01sc-single-variable-calculus-fall-2010/index.htm) be enough to pass AP Calc AB or BC? Would a review book after the course help? I have taken through Pre-Calculus at my school, but because of the other classes I chose I am not able to take AP Calc this year. I still would really like AP Calc BC, as it would help me greatly in my goal of getting through college in 3 years. Are there any other resources you would recommend to teach myself enough to pass the AP Calc BC test? Thanks in advance!
Are you planning to self-study one of the AP exams this year? If you’re not a senior, I would recommend taking AP Calculus BC at your high school next year.
Yes ([this page](http://ocw.mit.edu/high-school/mathematics/exam-prep/) might be useful too), but you’d probably benefit from using slower-paced resources (e.g., Khan Academy) alongside the MIT lectures. The MIT course was designed for MIT students who have mostly already learned calculus on some level, so the lectures aren’t necessarily easy to follow if you’re just starting out.
If you stayed four years, you would be able to gain more experience by completing internships/research and taking advanced classes in your field.
I am a junior, but my school has AP Calc AB as a full year class and AP Calc BC as a semester, but BC can only be taken after AB.
