MIT, Stanford, Hopkins chance (WILL CHANCE BACK PROMISE)

haha thanks everyone for chancing me, i think i chanced back everyone too! (and if i didnt, you can pour some hydrochloric acid on my face and start beating me with socker bopper until i do =D)

i think excellent chances for all of them
you clearly have a stronger science side, i would say you have poor chances for more liberal arts colleges, but MIT hopkins and stanford are very technical
it would be nice if you had some entrepreneur technical style stuff that colleges really like
for example, a friend of mine, who hopes to get into MIT, has created a program that he then sold to a major company, which shows his technical smarts and inventiveness

chance me http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736268-chance-me-pwease.html</a></p>

haha actually the research im doing right now involves replacing the finger pricking diabetic testing, so if its goes well then i guess you could classify that way or something??? <3

your ECs are also very save-the-world ish  go solve world hunger with that AIME score! lol
your grades and ECs are awesome, and your SAT scores are solid…you seem smart enough to get a +2300 though, have you considered retaking them? Anyways. your SAT II scores are great too…
MIT: reach
Hopkins: IN.
Stanford: low reach
thanks for the chance! :)

I think you have shown great activities in your science competitions to show that you are a serious candidate for MIT etc… (science bowl nationals alumni FTW!) I would have to say that your SAT I and II’s are a bit low… especialyl the CR… Hey I had problems with CR too so don’t feel bad! I’d say to work hard on those essays, focus on your passions. You chances will improve a lot more :)

=D i guess my research is more of that classification, but solving the tower function of two’s using logarmithic expressions for Mandelbrot isnt really helping anyone hahaha <3

bump!!! muahahaha =D

You definitely need to either pull up that verbal or try taking the ACT. 650 is not even in the 25th percentile for these schools. I suggest giving the ACT a shot. I got a 690 on verbal, and then I took the ACT and got a 34 on reading and 33 on English.

If your school is extremely competitive then I’m sure the colleges are aware of this and will take that into consideration. That being said, your rank is average for these schools.

Your EC’s are decent, but nothing extraordinary. Try getting involved in sports or holding a real leadership position in something.

Stanford: mid/high reach
MIT: Low reach, almost a match because of your involvement in science and mathematics, as well as your 800 on math SAT.
Johns Hopkins- match. It’s as not competitive as the others.

Wow, your stats are awesome. I’d say you have a great shot at all of them. I could only DREAM of having a 4.3 GPA.

Please chance me:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735478-can-i-get-into-college-2-3-gpa.html</a></p>

do u guys think income plays role in applying to HYPSM?

MIT - reach
Stanford - reach
Johns Hopkins - high match

However, I think you will definitely get into ONE of these schools, if not more.

Hopkins: Def in
MIT: mid reach
Harvard: reach

Be sure to make your essay reflect what you like, cause that could make all the difference! Very impressive though =)

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736756-please-chance-me-brown-northwestern-etc-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

bump bump bump

i had 800 in math writing =( my reading is bad but i wouldnt call my II’s low?

time to bump this sucker.

Up your CR, focus on certain ECs, and all of them will be easier (not an absolute given, obviously, but MUCH better chances).

As of now, JHU is pretty much a given (but the CR on the SAT may hurt slightly).

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735989-what-my-chances-needs-more-work-ivies.html</a></p>

I think you have a great shot at each school. MIT and Stanford are reaches, but its a reach for mostly everyone. I think you have an excellent chance at everywhere else.

Oh yea, and make sure you apply to more than just these 3.

sigh…bump

colleges really love music… so that def. helps.
work on bringing up your Critical reading. aim for at least a 700.

good luck!
ivys are always a reach

i Have to go with what others and say that your CR is suspect for top colleges but your set with the other things. MIT and Stanford are unpredictable and deny even more credited applicants(though yours is very very good). You should be a sure thing for hopkins just pull up cr to above 700s
