@inmicrogravity02 , I am not sure how it works for MITES. However, for other similar residential programs like SAMS, it involves a lot of forms you and you legal guardians/ parents have to sign, scan, and send. The forms have detailed housing, travel expenses, medical, and arrival times information.
Do you guys think they’ll post today or tomorrow??

So I emailed MITES yesterday and asked them about the decision release date. I just got an email from them:
Thank you for your patience as we try our hardest to thoroughly review all applications. Decisions will be released this week - you will receive an email that will let you know to check your status on summerapp.mit.edu

My theory for why it’s taken so long is that there were many more applicants than they expected. I can’t wait for the rejection letter to be like: “This year was our most competitive year of all time. For context, there were 80 chosen out of 2800 applicants”.
