Can someone tell me something about MIT's writing program? About their graduate program?

Are they good programs? Are they hard to get into? Good career prospects afterwards?

Could you be more specific? What do you want to know about the writing program, and which graduate program (as they are very different)?

kicks ass. no, seriously. I honestly think this is like the hidden gem of the century here.

They're not the most renowned, overshadowed by certain other departments, but in terms of individual attention, education/class-time ratio, it's probably one of the best programs out there.

Is it a very competitive program to get into?

What do you mean? MIT is kinda competitive to get into, yeah.

But once you're here you can pick and choose your classes/departments/major.

Yeah, the only department with a cap is 20 (biological engineering), but no one's ever been refused before... but yeah, there's room for you to do what you want =D

How about the Masters Science Writing program? Is that more or less competitive than the undergrad program?
