mlb.tv blackout?

Does anyone know if Dodgers games on mlb.tv are blacked out at UCLA?

I think so, and pretty much in all of LA, because of the TV deal with Time Warner Cable. I am one of the few to get Time Warner Sportsnet, at my apartment (the internet isn’t so great though). So either you have to stream or use an add-on like Zenmate, Hola, or Tunnelbear to block your location. Good luck, I know it’s frustrating for Dodger fans

Aw man, that’s disappointing :frowning: Lucky you, haha. I was hoping I’d be able to buy the mlb.tv subscription to watch Dodgers games but I guess that’s not happening. Thaaaanks!

I know it was $50 over Father’s Day weekend, not sure about now. You could still get it and try one of the VPN/proxy services I mentioned above which I believe should work but I haven’t tried myself. Search on Google for instructions on how to configure it

At my house I rely on First Row which you should always load on Chrome with Adblocker, it’s hard to deal with the quality however. Otherwise you could listen to the radio broadcasts on AM 570 with the legendary Vin Scully and for road games outside the NL West Charley Steiner/Nomar/Rick Monday.

Also FYI UCLA students get discounts for certain Dodger games, I will try to take advantage of that this summer

It’s $20 a month for the non-premium subscription, I think… But yeah, I’ve been watching games on different live stream websites for awhile. Quality is bearable. Oooh that discount sounds nice! Not very many choices for seating though…

Oh I guess $50 was for the premium subscription, idk what extra features you get with premium.

Well I usually sit in Top Deck so sitting closer and having an opportunity to catch a foul ball or HR would be nice. One of these days I want to get to the stadium early enough to watch batting practice. I went to a sold-out game against the Tigers earlier this season and the drive from Westwood took 2.5 hours, and I missed out on the jacket giveaway. Definitely not taking the 10 to the 110 next time but that game was probably an anomaly.

Oh wow, I’ve been to the stadium a lot but I’ve never experienced traffic like that… Once I start school, I might just try to take the express bus from union station.

That’s a good idea, you’d save $15 on parking…
I’ve lived in LA my whole life and have never used rail, I’m sure it beats the Metro buses though

I’m still hoping that I’ll meet a friend at school who can drive me there haha.
