can someone explain to me exactly how this works im trying to start it at my school like exactly what do we do ? like do we choose a country to rep ?
how many people should we recruit ?
some please give me a in depth answer

the UNUSA.org site hasn't been to helpful

someone plz answer my question

Look, if you don't really know anything about the club and you want to start one at your school, I kind of wonder if you're just starting a club for colleges...Don't do that, they can tell.

But if you're not, then MUN works by having a bunch of different chapters at different schools. At some schools it's a club, and at others it's a class, so the numbers vary. My MUN is really like, 15 people, but other schools have dozens and show up en masse to conferences with identical briefcases.

You go to conferences at other schools, and the school that organizes the conference usually handles logistics (what countries you represent, committees, etc.) They'll give you a list.
MUN, like the UN, is comprised of different committees (WHO, 6th Legal, General Assembly, Security Council, etc.) and you get to choose your committee. You're usually given a few topics, and you have to write a research paper on them talking about your country's stance and possible solutions. Then you go to the conference, into your committee, and go through motions and draft first, resolutions, then amendments, and vote on them.

At the end, they give awards for your paper or your "performance", if you will.
