Hey everyone,
I got accepted to MoHo and would like to know about MoHo dorms. Which dorms are the best and which ones are worse?
And more about food, quality of life and entertainment.
Thanks
Can we double major at MoHo?
Anyone?
It’s only been a day since you posted this - it’s not a super active subforum, and most of us current students are doing work. I often don’t look here during the week since I’m strapped for time. Of course you can double major, you just need to plan in order to avoid squishing your classes together in a few semesters. Class overlap can be an issue.
We had a discussion about dorms here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/mount-holyoke-college/1946044-current-moho-student-here-to-answer-your-questions-p1.html
@bebixinh I am a current senior and a double major. Like firefly said, it can be done but you have to plan. I have run into issues where classes required for both of my majors were being taught at the same time so you have to get started on your major requirments early.
Thanks firefly @greengriffins25
@greengriffins25 Can we declare major in freshman year?
@bebixinh you can, most people don’t because you have to have chosen your advisor and finding that person is very important to your academic success or failure
@brebixinh Yes, you can. I have a few friends that declared in their first year. That said, you do not have to declare until your second semester sophmore year.
Once you do declare, you can change your advisor. I have had three different advisors for my major since I declared.
Yup, you can. I did it, and I’ve had two advisors for my major. You can even mail the form in over the summer, although I would definitely recommend going to the Registrar’s office (you get a button!)
Another thing - do not despair if classes are offered at the same time. One of the virtues of going to a small school is that there are often options - I had two important classes this semesters which had conflicting 4th hours, and one of my professors was willing to create another section of the 4th hour so I could take the class. That isn’t always the case, but it does happen.
