Molded cleats

Some questions which have been discussed briefly before, but we’re still confused.
What, exactly, are molded cleats? Don’t want to buy the wrong thing.
Where is a good place to buy them?
And finally, why are they not issued at the academy, since everything else seems to be, and candidates are told to bring as little as possible to I-day?
Thanks for the help!

Molded cleats are just that. The "cleats" are molded into the sole of the shoe. They DON'T want you to bring cleats that thread into the sole.
Any sporting goods store has many to choose from. They are even available at Kohl's, K-mart.....

Is anyone here bringing them?

You do NOT need to bring these (unless it says it's mandatory... it always says "suggested" and tons of people never end up wearing theirs... ever).

Do you suggest bringing a good pair of running shoes, or will they be issued or will your boots do fine?

Issued. Someone asked that at orientation.

Thanks for the help, everyone!
