Some people say that deferral letters come out late, and that's why we haven't received our letters/envelopes yet. However, I think it's got more to do with where you live.
Something not so hopeful:
It seems that no one has been rejected (least it appears so), which means deferral could mean either rejection or just...deferral. This sucks, though. If I'm going to get rejected no matter what, then I'd rather they just tell me straight up front.
Agree?

maybe most of the people who were rejected dont feel like coming here and posting stats??

well for some deferees, princeton REALLY DOES want to reconsider them in the greater context of the regular decision pool, so even princeton does not know if it will reject the applicant in march; that's why they can't reject you "straight up front"

for me, if i'm deferred, i'll focus more on the other colleges i applied to; if i get into princeton RD, awesome; if not, well i will done all my crying in december and would have expected it anyways.....

and i agree with fictionate

aznoverachiever, did you get your result?

When can US applicants start calling in for decisions?
Monday?

tuesday morning

I want a letter...not someone telling me on the phone.

haha but if your letter doesn't come.....then wouldn't you want to know?
Yeah I agree, but meh.
Rather find out sooner then later.

yeah thatd be weird as hell having someone tell you on the phone. haha plus imagine being the person who tells the applicant over the phone...like ummm yeahhhh uhhh you're rejected...sorryy...please don't cry...

nope; i'm waiting till monday.....

I'm going to wait it out. I'd rather get a deferral once, in letter form, than twice, from the phone and the letter.

The poster above this post has no name, strange...
