money from syracuse

Thanks for posting Marylandmom. That was a very generous package. I think that they really wanted your D to attend.

Northeast Mom:

Your welcome - Yes - we were excited about it and she really considered attending - final decision came down to Tulane, Syracuse and Wake Forest. All of her packages were nearly identical although structured a little differently so I really do believe that need blind really means need blind. Tulane did actively court her and they were tough to turn down. She is now a happy freshman at Wake.

It is a good thing that she chose Wake over Tulane, because freshman year would have been at another school anyway. A friend of mine has a D that chose Tulane and is now living at home and commuting to a local private college. She wants to go to Tulane ASAP (I guess that will be this January, but who knows). She also lost all of her clothes because she had moved in prior to Katrina.

Is Syracuse all right with the ACT? Because I score much better on the ACT (31) than the SAT (1280) and did not even submit my SAT score anywhere. (In the Midwest, the ACT is very common and accepted anywhere, and I just wanted to make sure that it would be looked up all right at an East coast school.)
