Money

Any other accepted students dealing with the pain of being accepted but not having the funds to afford it? It stinks because I'm dying to go to PSU but the amount of loans I would have to pay back are painful to think of!

Sadly many students find themselves in your situation. Do you have a “financial safety” school?

Yes, I received a full scholarship to West Chester.

I was in that same situation back in 2008. It sucked.

If I didn’t have a tuition grant from Duke I wouldn’t have even bothered applying to PSU.

Both my sons applied to and were accepted at schools we could never afford in a million years, but they wanted to know that they were accepted, anyway. We couldn’t afford PSU except for a staff discount. You never know what financial things might be offered until you try. But, no school is worth racking up a huge debt.

Be proud of yourself that a good school has given you a full ride — with its size, and proximity to Philly/DC, there will be wonderful opportunities for you, great leadership chances at West Chester. Your financial independance when you graduate is truly a great advantage. Congratulations to you! Your future is bright (even if you are sad right now)

Thanks a lot guys!!
