What do you think my chances of getting major amounts of financial aid are?

My son is a freshman at Furman. You sound like a great student with very good academics and some strong interests/abilities in writing and music. While no one on this board would presume to give you "odds" on either your chances of admission or financial aid, I would just encourage you to apply to Furman and see how they respond. They are generously endowed and have some great academic merit scholarships (I'm not knowledgeable about the "need" side of the financial package). Best of everything to you!

I'm hoping for some financial/merit based aid too! Good luck!
