<p>I was recently accepted to this school and would like to get a little more insight from the students that already attend. Is it a suitcase school? Are there plenty of activities on campus during the week and weekend? Also how great is their Psychology and Forensics program? I was informed by my tour guide that most of the professors are Adjunct Professors - do you like that better or would you just prefer a F/T Professor. Are your promised a dorm room for all 4 years? What is the typical size of the classes. Is there a huge turn around with the professors there? How is the school spirit? </p>
<p>PS: The school is absolutely beautiful and everyone around the campus seemed very friendly. Also love the location and that the beach is right down the street.</p>
<p>I am from New Jersey and was accepted to Monmouth University last year...while i do not know much about it i have heard that it is a bit of a suitcase school.</p>

<p>I actually ended up at the University of South Carolina because they gave me a great merit scholarship and because it was far away from home. But i am transferring to TCNJ because the cost of travel is way to high for the amount of times (holidays) that i want to come home :) lol</p>
<p>nextoprah, we toured this school about 3 years ago. My son never applied. They seem to have some generous merit aid. The biggest problem that I saw was housing. At that time, they offered a housing guarantee for freshman year. After that it seemed as though our son would probably need to live in off campus housing. I felt that the cost of off campus housing, and a car with auto insurance in NJ to drive to campus would have put a sizable dent into our wallet. This was the main reason that our son did not apply.</p>
<p>I know someone who has a niece who attends or recently graduated. She is an athlete. She loved going here.</p>
<p>jellybean1241...thanks for sharing the info...I too applied to TCNJ (My first choice but still no word. Hopefully some good news will arrive in my mail tomorrow or Tuesday. </p>
<p>Thanks northeastmom for that info. I too was offered a generous award from Monmouth and was told housing is guaranteed for FR and SO yr only. After that I guess it's a lottery basis, not sure.</p>
