Hey everybody,
I am new to this forum and will be applying to Grad School this Fall. Really quickly, I am half Saudi Arabian and half Spanish, I am going to be a senior at UC Davis and I am double majoring in Political Science and History, I have a 3.24 GPA and it will change to a 3.33 after I ace my intensive Arabic class that I am currently taking (15 units). I am fluent in English, Spanish, and will be fluent again in Arabic by the time I graduate because I will be taking Arabic all next year as well. I plan on taking the GRE this September. With that said, I want to get into a career of foreign policy/defense/intelligence. I want to get my Master's here in California and have been having difficulties trying to find many programs that fit my interests. My first choice is the Monterey Institute of International Studies (M.A. Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies), and San Diego State University (M.S. Homeland Security). I was wondering what you guys thought my chances would be for these two schools and if there were other programs that are respected in the state.

I had also considered the University of San Diego's (M.A. International Relations), University of San Francisco's (M.A. International Studies), but both of these are just one year programs and I wouldn't be able to do an internship. I also considered UC Santa Barbara's (M.A. Global and International Studies), and San Francisco State University's (M.A. International Relations).

I know this is a long post but I am very worried because as of right now I am only applying to the first two schools since I don't want to spend a ton of money on a program I'm not too enthusiastic about. If I don't get into Grad School then I'm highly considering going to officer candidate school for the Navy and getting a Master's from the Naval Postgraduate School. Sorry for the long post and I appreciate all help in advance, thank you so much :)
