More Operations Management...

I would first like to thank ABaldingLoser for starting a thread on operations management. My current situation is similar to yours; operations management sounds interesting, but I'm not quite sure on the details.

The last post sort of got hijacked into a thread stating whether or not engineering to MBA is a successful path into the business world...not that that isn't an important topic, but that was not the thread's purpose.

Basically, I would like to turn this thread into a follow up thread for ABaldingLoser. I am reading a lot of different facts and figures around the internet about the future of operations management, so any more APPROPRIATE responses regarding possible careers or the major itself would be helpful to ABaldingLoser, myself, and probably many others.

Thank you.

hey, thanks apayton, my thread got way too clogged up with worthless information, im glad we can start fresh

would really like to hear from anyone else who studied OM about what you do now, how it was getting a job out of college, any additional skills you think one should pick up, and so fourth
