More question on UNC culture!

I just have a few more question on UNC.

What are the dining commons like and what do people think of dining commons?

What's the Greek life like at UNC?

What's the nightlife like?

What's the Christian community/culture like?

What's the atmosphere like at UNC?

How diverse is UNC?

Where do most students like dorming? What are the popular dorms?

Thanks again!

Someone asked this on another thread but it was closed, so I’m just posting my response here. Hope you find it!

Agreed, most of these are on the website but I can try anyway. Around 18% is out of state because that’s the limit for them to accept. There is more school spirit here than any other college I’ve seen! Everyone has little things they complain about of course, but I think overall almost everyone here loves their school and show it. Freshman classes are pretty huge as a rule, but as your classes get harder and more specific to the subject I think they tend to get smaller and smaller. English and most math classes are also kept fairly small. And most labs have less than 30 people. I know I read the school newspaper most every day, but I really have no clue how popular being involved in it is. I’m a science major so I’m not a part of anything with journalism. Yes there is a core curriculum, if by that you mean gened requirements. They’re annoying, but not awful. We have a million interesting classes that will fulfill geneds. The more popular ones do fill up quickly but you’ll get into them eventually.
