I was selected as an NC semifinalist for the Morehead-Cain and have an interview on January 5. I have aspired to become a Morehead Scholar since early on in my education and am confident that I could fit in with the program. I'm fairly secure with the quality of my resume, but am imagining myself freaking out once I get into the interview room and shattering my chances. Does anyone know what kinds of questions I should expect? I've read in some threads that questions are pretty laid back, but do they tend to throw in some trick questions? Also, how much will they ask me about world issues? I can talk about my accomplishments all day and I'm pretty up to date on current issues, but I'm afraid if they ask something out of the ordinary it could decrease the probability of my selection as a finalist. Any responses or advice about other aspects of the program would be much appreciated!

Can I PM you? I have a source for this but would rather not post it here.

Sure, just shoot me a message- I’d definitely love to have some guidance in this, it’s approaching so fast!

Can you message me also, I haven’t been selected for an interview but I was contacted through admissions referral

Got to agree with eadad here. Hopefuladmit’s profile lists him/her as 15 yo. I’d be curious to know how he/she has experience with M-C interview. Brother or sister interview in past years?

I’m not going to post it in the public forum. PM me.

My recommendation would be to find some people to give you reasonably tough practice interviews. The questions are pretty predictable (what do you like to do, describe an accomplishment, what are your goals, etc.)
