I’ve recently become very interested in applying to OSU and was wondering about the Morrill scholars program. How selective is it? and what are they looking for in applicants? Thank you so much!
It is quite selective - they award approximately 300 scholarships to an incoming class of 6500-7500. While the usual requirements like grades, test scores, etc., matter, selection is based on an essay (prompt is available as part of the common app process). Morrill Scholars are typically committed to diversity and community service - it’s a really great program, and there are lots of opportunities available to scholars.
