"The 20 Most Beautiful Colleges in the USA" with photos as reported on the Campus Squeeze: The 20 Most Beautiful Colleges in the USA — Campus Squeeze

Eclectic list. I'd add Williams, Cornell, Colgate.

Miami (OH) should be on there.
Princeton is amazingly beautiful...it is like your prototype old, ivy-covered school
I have a friend who visited Elon and said it was like a country club: manicured, beautiful, but stuffy

That picture of Flagler is AWESOME! Looks like it belongs in Epcot Center...in a good way.

Duke should be on that list.

UC Santa Barbara is so pretty; that's one that should be on that list. Tons of flowers everywhere. :P

Elon and Furman are often cited as having beautiful campuses. But there are many more....and many that get into the movies alot. Fordham comes to mind.

Then again, some people like gothic (UChicago, Duke, Fordham etc) and some despise it. Some people like Georgian Architecture and some hate it. Some like post modern and some despise it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Most of the campuses we saw were beautiful in some way. Vassar is lovely, Grinnell is wonderful, Lewis & Clark is gorgeous. I loved Evergreen State--the poured concrete buildings would be odd in most places but were uniquely appropriate surrounded by the huge evergreen forests--really striking.

vanderbilt...two very different forms of architecture all modeled into one main campus. it's awesome.

Virginia and northwestern should be added

stanford and yale, in my opinion, are two of the most beautiful colleges out there. Plus Oxford and the Sorbonne for international schools.

Northwestern is certainly nice. It's like a coastal campus for midwesterners, nice indeed. It was definitely one of the better ones I saw in my search.

I also thought that the US Naval Academy had quite the awesome campus.

LOL @ Someone saying IU is ugly...

^^ i didn't see where someone said that but i also find IU's campus pretty ugly.

For me, it's because there are streets going everywhere through it, it's staggered, and all the "nice" areas are areas you will traditionally never go in the course of going from home to class. Also the dorms are not particularly attractive buildings in my opinion.

i mean, i've seen worse, but indiana wouldn't fall under the attractive category for me

I was surprised that a lot of less prestigious college were on the list :) Call me ignorant... :)

i went to loyola marymount 2 years fro summer camp. It does have a very nice campus. Surprised though it would make #3. Did not know it was one of the most attractive campuses.

CARLETON!

900 acre arboretum, Lyman Lakes, rolling hills, beautiful historic town at its edge.

I don't see how Pepperdine is so high. Yeah, it's pretty and in Malibu, but I don't think it's prettier than some of the other campuses.

I'm really surprised, also, that UC Santa Cruz isn't on there.

The first planned campus in America is Union's. It is a gem with its eccentric Nott Memorial as its centerpiece.
