Hey, I have posted here before, but with no avail.

I am wondering what are the most competitive majors at CALS to get into are? I am a NYS resident so that is not an issue.

actually, you have no advantage being a NY state resident. In fact, as the monetary support from NY goes down and the desire for a more geographically diverse class in CALS goes up, being from NY state is starting to work against some students (especially the borderline ones).

AEM's the most competitive to get into. Only 95 spots or so for incoming freshman.

1- AEM
2- Bio

Don't know about the rest.

My connection in CALS admissions once told me the big 4...I know AEM and Bio are in that group....I think Animal Science and Communications round out the bottom. Although Biology and Society is creeping up the ranks.

AEM and Biological Sciences

When I applied I thought atmospheric science would be relatively uncompetitive, but I heard that roughly 100 applications were received and 11 were admitted, 3 were given GT's.

thank all you very much!

so animal science is competitive to get into?

what about information science?
