Would anyone happen to know what are the most conservative colleges within the top 20?
Without question Notre Dame but I wouldn’t say all are liberal for instance Rice, Vandy, Wash U & MIT.
ND by a long shot though, but its still a university and not The John Birch Society.
In the top 20 Liberal Arts colleges, Washington & Lee. Until last summer confederate flags were still hanging on campus.
Here’s one ~conservative perspective:

Here is the College Guide’s description of what they consider :

Hmmmn, anecdotally, I would venture to say U of Chicago.
@boolaHI. Why do you consider UChicago conservative?
@tk21769. Thanks for the links. This website looks very interesting, and I will take into account in my college search and decisions. I was impressed by the fact that Princeton leads the list.
I have to say my perspective is based more on some of their departments, and it’s political tone has changed, tilting to the L, over the last 25 years…
@boolaHI. Despite its trend towards the left, do you still consider that UChicago is conservative or at the least centri9t?
Again, from my perspective, depends on the department…
U Chicago is NOT conservative… it’s economics department has a fiscal conservative bent (in contrast with more liberal Keynesian economics at most other top schools)… but social conservatives are clearly a tiny minority.
@harvardandberkeley. @boolaHI. So UChicago is like Ivy league schools, only with slightly more conservative faculty. Right?
I would also say relative to the other Ivy plus schools, U of C Law, historically is thought to be more to the right…obviously, some of that momentum may have pivoted to the other direction.
