physics is hard

APUSH may not be "cake", but it was hardly very challenging. Remember that course difficulty is primarily dependent on the teacher. Ours was a very good one who never let up on the work, so nearly everyone got 4 or 5 on the exam.

I haven't taken the AP spanish exam yet, but the course is my lowest grade this year so far - it's very challenging b/c you're suddenly expected to be basically fluent. Even the Dominican girl in our class struggles with grammar.

The science ones cover a lot of material, and will absolutely require independent study. Physics C is essentially impossible at our school, b/c the course only covers Physics B - however, a handful of seniors still get fives on it every year.

ap latin was hard last year.
ap physics is hard this year. although it could just be my teacher for this one. he's terrible.

APUSH, now that I look back at it, was relatively easy, though it felt like hell when I took it.

Hardest? Definitely Languages. I got a 2 in AP French, but 5s in all my other tests. A 4 part test where they seriously dont give you enough time? It made me want to cry.

It depends on your school. Most people on here find APUSH and AP Stat easy, but APUSH is one of the hardest at my school and the average grade in AP Stat is around a C. On the other hand, most people find AP Chem and AP Calc easy at my school.

Toughest - AP Economics

Easiest - AP Biology

The hard classes at my school include: AP Bio (discontinued b/c of the low pass rate), AP Stat (the strong math student gets an A-/B+ where they would usually get an A+), AP U.S. History (Good luck getting an A), Ap Chemistry (30% exam pass rate + few grades+ hard tests+ open to sophomores, but has immense curving), AP Euro History (according to the teacher).

I have not experienced which AP class is the hardest at my school. I am only a sophomore and am currently taking AP World History which is a piece of cake. According to all my junior friends the hardest class is AP U.S. History. There are people at my school who had straight A's throughout highschool except for this class. However, most of those people excell at math and science and I personally do well in social studies.
Also, some sophomres signed up for AP Chemistry this year and they say the class is not that hard but I am sure that only a few will pass the AP exam.
Also, I asked my current history teacher if I should take AP Euro next year (she teaches AP World & Euro) but she said that it was supposed to be harder than U.S. History but she was laughing so I am not sure whether she was kidding or not.

AP Spanish has been hard for me, but my teacher is really good and forgiving with grades, so that makes it easier. AP Euro was easier for me last year because I love history. My school barely offers any AP courses, but I self-studied for APUSH and AP gov't and politics. I only had a month to study which was horrible, but I got a 4 on gov't and politics (really easy) and a 3 on APUSH (ugh). Given another few weeks, pulling off 5's would have been easy.

APUSH, hands down.

if you're innately smart and don't need to study:
AP latin is a killer because of all the memorization
APUSH is also a killer because of all the notes and essays
i heard AP english is bad as well, with all the essays, but i don't know from personal experience

if you're willing to work hard:
AP (science and math courses)-- you either get it or you don't.

i agree with icooufoo69 that AP Physics (both test) is the hardest AP. at my school you are required to have passed BC or be in BC in order to take it. i actually took both BC and Physics C and the one that was harder was physics because of the calculus that was involved. i didnt take AB which was a disadvantage for me in understanding physics.

I think it depends on the school and the person. AP Euro/US are hard because there is a lot of essay writing. Bio is hard because of the huge amounts of work we get. Chemistry, too me, is not too hard. Physics C is hard at my school.

Easiest for me:
AP Calc BC
AP Stats
AP Micro/Macro

Hard for me:
AP Eng Lit (MC is a killer imo)
AP Chem

In the middle:
AP Spanish Lang
AP USH

At my school, hardest is probably English Lang. However, APUS at my school is one of the hardest classes to get an A in, despite the class itself being a joke. We barely do any work in class, but the tests are brutal, so almost everyone ends up with a B, which is frustrating. Easiest would be AP Environmental, AP Human Geo, and perhaps AP Stats. AP Bio and AP Calc are easy for me, simply because I am interested in these subjects and I'm a more math/science person, whereas the humanities AP's are a bit more difficult for me.

AP CHEM. Hands down.

AP Euro was hard. I had to write 5 page papers a week. But mostly everyone got 5's so it worked in the end.

APUSH tests were easy but I didn't study at all for the AP so I got a 4.

AP Calc BC was so stressful and hard. I ended up with an A for the class. But, like AP US, I didn't study for the exam, and got a 3.

AP Latin: Vergil was an easy class, except my teacher didn't teach to the exam so everyone got a 3.

AP Lang was freaking hard as hell. All the papers and all the journals. But everyone passed and the average out of 120 kids was a 4.1, so the hell was worth it.

AP Chemistry was a joke. Super easy and over 50% of the kids got 5s.

AP Physics C is ridiculously hard. There is so much calculus and high level concepts to get your head around.

AP Psychology is easy.

AP Macroeconomics is easy as well.

AP World History - easy but have to take too many notes and have to study all night the day before the tests

AP Chemistry - easy but almost all of my classmates are struggling

I think Chemistry either comes super easy to people, or super hard. I've read so many times that AP Chemistry is hard, but it really isn't if you like it or just have an affinity for it.

physics C... 2 tests, completely different material, and magical calculus (considering that we had to integrate 4 months before we got to that in calc ...)

ENGLISH- really, i have no idea how to achieve in that class
APUSH was simple for me- i barely studied and got a 5
