<p>In the U.S., Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia etc. are viewed as the most prestigious. However, I'm not so sure which colleges people from other countries think are the best in the U.S. </p>
<p>Could foreigners or people who have spent much time abroad please list what you believe to be the top 5 universities in the United States? Please also state the country you're from. </p>

<p>In my country, it’s Harvard. MIT is the second famous one and Stanford is the third. But almost everyone knows about Harvard. Yale, Princeton, or Columbia aren’t as famous as Harvard or MIT.</p>

<p>In india all the ivies other than upenn and darthmouth are very famous . Nyu, stanford and mit are popular also</p>
