made up a civil war battle

Invented a scientist and how he came up with hydroelectricity

Darnit, it's not ridiiculous.

Made up a story about how two chinese tribes fought each other and one used these amazing strategies like putting flammable liquids on the battlefield to torch the enemy, and how their creativity granted them power. I got a 11/12 on the essay. The other example was using the Nintendo Wii(creative and original), and you would think that using video games would put a bad impression. No matter the examples, my writing skills were what gave me my score.

Not on an actual SAT but practice essay for class:

I used a made up proverb that some may recognize from the classic shoujo Hana Yori Dango:
"To fight during teatime is to be dumber than a mouse"

Thankfully, the teacher was a 50-year-old man so he didn't know and I got a 6 (and I think he's a good judge so if another grader graded it I imagined I'd get an 11 or 12)

I guess it is true that it's more about how you write and how convincing you are. :p

My friend wrote about Kama Sutra.

It somehow related to the topic, and she got an 11.

^Ha, wow, that is a new one.

This wasn't on the SAT, but on a standardized writing test we had to take for my state it asked you to write about somebody who inspired you, and I made up an autistic, blind, paraplegic younger brother with leukemia and wrote the cheesiest, most cliched essay in the universe about how he learned to read braille and then died a few days later. I hypothesized that he had reached his dream and knew it was "time to let go," and then I compared him to Jesus.

I got a 10/10.

^^^^^OMG LMAO THAT IS REALLY GREAT!
haha maybe i'll do that on the sat

I have had friends that have talked about power rangers, high school musical, and star wars

^How did they do? Just curious.
