My XC/track coach says we need to get 8 hours of sleep each night, and I'm taking AP Chemistry, Honors Pre-Calc, and other annoying classes and I like to procrastinate so I don't do my homework until late. The most sleep I've gotten this year was ~7 hours. Last year I did get 1 night of 8 hours of sleep! But just one night.

Maybe 10? Idk, I average around 6.5 hours of sleep a night on weekdays and 9 on weekends. I always procrastinate my homework until at least 7 PM the night before it’s due. And I usually never finish it.

You mean on school days right? then same as you 7 ): I am the same as you taking a lot of honors and ap classes and I procrastinate…some nights I only sleep for only 2-5 hours

Yeah, I’m lucky to get more than 7 hours of sleep. On average, I sleep 5 hours a night. I think my personal record is 8 hours :)

Unfortunately it looks like I’ll be staying up into the night to finish a fifteen-paged report on the long-term effects of sleep deprivation, due tomorrow. Oh the irony…

@misteranthony Not everyday! It’s more like once a month situation. Most of the time I sleep for 7 hours. 5 hours is around once every 2 weeks. I work on Friday and Saturday, so Sunday is the only time I get to sleep in, I will sleep for around 10 hours. Sometimes after school I would take a hour nap so I won’t fall asleep when doing my hw on my desk which I do very often and my mom carries me too bed, by the time I wake up in the morning: “Oh crap! I didn’t finish my hw? how did I get to bed?”

I actually got 9 once. I think we had a late arrival the next day and I had sort of a light homework night, so I used the opportunity to catch up on sleep.

I think I woke up around 10.20am on a few occasions. And most the time I went to be around 1-2am, but once or twice I went to be the day before at around 10.
So 12 hours for me.

Guys, be careful with the sleep deprivation. I thought it was cool to stay up late in middle school and I’m pretty sure I am still suffering effects from it in regards to my memory and attentive capacity. When your brain is developing, sleep is super important
