Mount Holyoke College Regular Decision Class of 2021

@louise2017 I got mine in an email from the FA office a couple of weeks after I submitted the application

@Fangirl1999 I didn’t receive any email aside from the ones with the link telling me to sign up to check my application status. Is the ID just a bunch of numbers or does it go with your last and first name

Mine is “last name numbers first initial”. You should call the FA office tomorrow I think!

My daughter was accepted with a Trustee Scholarship today. She’s very happy. And so is her dad’s wallet.

Accepted with a 21st Century Scholarship!

The Financial Aid link and sign-up came Jan 7th. It may still be in your Spam. That’s where my daughter found it a month later. It was mostly important if you were applying for financial aid, as it contained a checklist for the documents that were uploaded through IDOC. If you can’t find it, I’m sure they’ll resend the link, with your specific username.

Big congrats to the scholarship recipients…especially @smcirish who I’ve had a few “chats” with!!! My D17 was accepted with the 21st Century Scholarship.

curiouscollege1, you can get a Merit award in addition to need based aid. However, I believe they do not add the Merit after the need based is calculated, but before. My daughter received the Leadership award, and a small amount of need based financial aid on top of that as our expected financial contribution still had a gap. We are pretty thankful for this news, it’s her first acceptance at a school where she could really see herself and that we can afford.

These merit awards sound great… For a newbie parent watching this school, can someone share the range of awards for these scholarships?

@suzyQ7 - the trustee is 47k I believe. 100% of tuition. The 21st is 25k. The information is on the website under merit aid.
Thank you @curiouscollege1 - found the email and it was on point with the estimated amount.
Anyone know when accepted student days will be?

Yes, it was on the Student Portal with a schedule of events. April 9th and 10th. We plan to attend

I did not see the Leadership Award on the website under merit, but the amount seems to vary. They offered D $15K/yr for the award and added $10K/yr need-based grant. That second part was a surprise because it takes the cost well below our EFC. I assume it will vary if our income changes? Our EFC is pretty ridiculous – I think most people feel that way regardless of income level – so it’s a breath of fresh air to see it disregarded.

Got in with Trustee Scholarship!!! I’m so happy, I’ve been crying randomly all day, this is what I was hoping for

Leadership awards definitely vary. On previous threads I’ve seen between 10K and (my own) 20K. I think it’s the generalized term for merit awards under 25K.

@pey4343 Congrats to you! Are you still waiting to hear back from others?

Got in too! Congrats to everyone else that got in! Will probably visit for the Accepted student overnight stay on April 9 to 10th. Is anyone else planning on attending?

I got in with a 15k Leadership Scholarship

Congratulations to everyone else that got in!

Did merit award winners all submit test scores? I know for some test optional schools, high scores are still required for merit scholarships - wondering about MHC. Thank you!

My D submitted- 35 ACT/ 1560 SAT (new)/ 2310 (old) - SAT II 800- math 2- 760- Physics

I submitted mine-33 ACT (36 Reading, 35 Reading, 31 Math, 31 Science)
