Move-In Day - Questions for the Veterans

Hi All,

After reading through all the move-in day info, there is one question I can't seem to find the answer to:

Are you allowed to make return trips with your tag to the drop-off area after your initial check in/unloading? I ask because we will need to make multiple trips from the hotel (and possibly stores) to Hank Ingram after the initial drop off of stuff.

Will this be an issue?

Thanks for any insights!

You will certainly be able to get the car back to the house later in the day. Last year when i moved in, we first got all the stuff out of the car to my room and then my roommate and I set up our room for about an hour or so and got a bit more acclimated. I would advise taking additional trips later in the day when the excitment dies down a bit. I’m doing move crew this year so when I am sent additional info I can gladly pass that along.

My wife and I moved our two children in and both times we returned with items from the local stores (refrigerators, carpets, printers, etc) and never had a problem. We did not go back through the line up but returned later in the day. This worked well as they had time to work out some particulars with their new roommate and see how the room laid out. The move in process is great and the move in crew (volunteer students) are fantastic. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info–I’ll plan on bringing the other load post-official move in hours!

The move-ins are all done pretty early in the day. After that, people are coming and going all day.
