I'm wondering how this book will translate into a movie. The subject matter of the book is so grim and some of the scenes are so disturbing that I can't see it doing well at the box office -- although it's likely to be an amazing film if it stays true to the story. For those of you who haven't read the book, it's a story about the journey of a man and his young son through post-apocalyptic America (presumably after a WWIII style nuclear holocaust, although the book never reveals precisely what the event was).

I loved that book, it kicked ass. Can't wait to see it on the big screen; hopefully Hollywood can do it justice. Where did you find out that it will be made into a movie?

I absolutely loved this book, and will not see it as a movie. I think the movie might ruin the book for me like so many have before. There are just scenes in that book between the father and son that could not be duplicated on the big scene IMO and still retain the original emotions.
