Moving out of state while in college? Help?

I’m moving from Michigan to Wisconsin and I currently attend Baker College. There are a number of reasons I’m moving, but they are unimportant to this discussion. I plan to apply to the Tech college in Stevens Point, as that is where I will be living. Right now, at Baker, I basically pay nothing because of FAFSA and scholarships. I understand this is likely going to change and I may have to pull out loans. This isn’t the end of the world for me, not that I’m rich or anything, I just don’t let the idea stress me out. How do I go about transferring to a college in a different state? I plan to become a resident. All my research has indicated I would need to get a WI license and registration after 60 days of intended permanent residency. Would I then quality for in state tuition or? And do I need to reapply for FAFSA/Can I? Anyone who has gone through this process, can you help me?

Do you qualify for loans sufficient to cover tuition?

I qualify for loans at Baker through FAFSA, but I don’t know how that works with transferring to a different school. Tuition is cheap at the tech college, even for out of state anyways and I wouldn’t be going full time.

I qualify for the Pell Grant and the Stafford loan. Tuition at this college I believe is a little over 9000. I called the college and they said I qualify for in state as long as I have a WI ID and am registered to vote. I plan to attend the Spring semester. I made the correction to FAFSA to add the school and I applied. I think I actually have the answers I need now.
