<p>Hello everyone! So me and my family plan to move to GA permanently in the next following months. I graduated high school in December (my HS has a early graduation program). I'm probably moving April or May, and will be taking a year off before college. So the thing is, if I register and live in GA from Apr '14, will I be considered a in-state or out of state once the 2015 school year commences? I know that you have to have 12 months residence in GA, but does it count from the application deadline or the actual start of the school year? Do I have to have 12 months before I submit the app or 12 months before the school year begins in the fall? </p>
<p>You will have to check each college’s requirements, but my understanding is you must be a resident for 12 months prior to the start of school.</p>
