mpp/mpa in chicago rankings?

Well, have settled on doing an MPP. Had contemplated law for awhile, but it isn't really what I want.

What are the best programs in Chicago?

I have found these...

U Chicago MPP
Loyola MPP
Northwestern MPPA from SCS
Depaul MPA
UIC MPA
Northern Illinois MPA
Chicago Kent MPA

I am also looking at a few in New York, I am only interested in working in Chicago or NY by the way...

The ones I am looking at in New York are New School, Columbia, NYU, any lower entry than that and I will stay in Chi.

Does anybody know much about these?

I know these probably widely vary in quality but I am not interested in living in any other cities in the U.S. I am 29 going back to school.

Thanks.

bump?..?

i kno…ppl in the grad school forum are so hesitant on replying lol :(/:)

grapico,
I am in a very similar situation (although I am 25 years old). I am living in Chicago and am looking at MPP programs. Did anyone respond to you, or have you discovered any useful information while researching programs?? Please let me know here or via personal message. It would be great to have someone else to talk to about this. Please let me know!
Peace.

I think the problem with the grad forum is that the same questions get asked very frequently, and thus, people who visit this forum don’t like answering the same qs over and over again ( I know I don’t) I think there are multiple threads around here that talk about these schools and MPPs and MPAs in general. Using the search feature might bring up results for schools in NY.

Hey everyone. Hoping someone currently enrolled in Northwestern’s MPPA program can provide some insight. Applied and presently awaiting for word on admission. Can anyone describe what the work load is like? And the program overall? Praise or complaints? Randoms about me: Not worried about tuition -work is picking up the tab. Not concerned about dorm life -Im 30 and have a mortgage. Thanks in advance.
