<p>I'm planning on going back to grad school for my MPA degree and I'm looking in NYC. I'm strongly considering going to Baruch. I know it's not a top 10 but does anyone have any opinions on Baruch's MPA program? Any advice or thoughts on MPA's in general and what kind of doors that degree can open up would be appreciated too. Thanks!</p>
<p>It’s a local school, but moreso known for it’s undergrad and grad business programs. Outside of that, I’m not too sure. CUNY City College also offers an MPA program.</p>
<p>Thanks, Sphere - I’ll def take a look at City College as well. I like Baruch b/c it looks like a good MPA program at an affordable cost. If anyone else out there has an opinion one way or another on Baruch please share!</p>

<p>Their admissions essay is a lot different than other MPA programs I’ve looked at. They ask you to describe one of the challenges facing your field of interest, and how your experience and proposed study will help you to address this challenge… rather than a basic statement of purpose which talks more generally about who you are/your goals/why you’re interested in the specific school.</p>
