MS in Accounting - Fordham vs. Pace QUICK

I was recently accepted at both Fordham and Pace for a Master's in Accounting program. I intend on sitting for my CPA during/after I complete the program and I am very interested in working a big four (I currently have a program with one of them that may lead to a FT job offer).

I noticed that Fordham isn't AASCB accounting accredited, but it is business accredited. Pace and Hofstra and other comparable schools are all accounting and business accredited. Is this that important? I am leaning more towards Fordham right now but I am nervous that it doesn't have as much clout, and I really want to be somewhere with a good career services center.. does anyone have any information?

Thank you!

Do not go to a university for accounting that is not AACSB accredited.

Accreditation is the bare minimum of an acceptable school.

Well if you need an answer “quick” I guess you should pick Pace.

I have same question as ncoady. Pace seem to have a great career services and in fact they are a little boastful about it on advertising their MSA program. They do have AACSB for business and accounting and they have a ton of accounting prof. I was thinking Fordham at first, but now thinking Pace better for MSA do to credentialing and connections.
If doing a straight MBA, then Fordham might be the way to go. Anybody else.
What did you wind up doing since your post is 18 months old now and how happy are you with the decision? Any insight would be great.
