I have basically selected these univs based on the rankings.......... I have a research project both in environmental engg and structural engg but no papers........ wat are my chances of getting into these universities........ any idea........ plz help.....

I think you will get admissions in any of those schools. The question is whether you will get funding. Are you paying yourself? UC Berkeley’s structural engineering program don’t fund don’t fund MS students so you’ll have to pay from your own pocket. In general, most faculty members won’t fund an MS student.

Oh thats a gud thing regarding getting admitted… regarding aid yeah i do want aid otherwise i ve to depend on education loan to do my MS… but i tot by next yr market would ve improved a bit and if not for aid at the very beginning after the first semester i can hope for aid… isnt that possible…

Faculty members usually don’t fund MS students because they would rather use the money to fund PhD students who will be staying 4 or 5 years doing research for them. But there are exceptions - you have to check with faculty members. Just don’t get turned off if they give you the same answer.

oh okay… let me c… wat i get in… hoping for some admission and some aid…
