MS in finance

Hi,

I am from India, and did my undergrad from Indian Institute of Technology with a department rank of 4/65. I went on to do my MS in engg from Universtity of Illinois at Urbana Chamapign right after my undergrad(GPA 3.7/4). I have been working for around an year and a half as an engineer in a leading multinational firm in Texas. I am 25 years and 8 months old.

Right now, I am facing a dilemma whether to continue in my engineering field or opt for something like MS finance(for an year) from a top Ivy league school ( I am only considering top notch schools). I have saved enough money to pay for an IVY league tuition for an year.

Basically I have 2 questions:

Is MS finance a risk worth taking considering i am pretty well established in my profession as an engg right now.

What are the requirements of an IVY school for a MS in finance( for example GRE or GMAT)

Thanks all for your help,

I’m not sure that any Ivies offer an MS of Finance but MIT does and this is what they are looking for in terms of GPA and GMAT

Their required courses however are more than most schools require (UT only requires an Econ course and statistics and Vandy I believe has no requirements)
