i've been accepted at Cal Poly SLO and USC for master degree in architecture. Cal Poly offer the M.Sc in Architecture while USC offer the same degree with different naming, Master of Building Science (MBS).

I'm thinking of turning down Cal Poly for USC.

Does anyone have any advise ?????

Very hard choice indeed. I recently visited both schools and sat down with the faculty (part of my job) and I was impressed by both. They are both great programs with great faculty.

I side with USC only because of Los Angeles that allows, in my opinion, more opportunities to learn from the institution and community at large. And heck, there’s a ton of easily accessible architecture in LA that may be more of a trek from SLO. If you have not visited the two campuses, I recommend doing so!

Good luck!

i thought of the same reason as well. USC will allow more researching opportunities. Most probably i’ll go with USC.

Thanks a lot for your opinion!
